AEI♥U Challenge...take 5

Posted by Unknown at 6:45 PM 3 comments
OK, now I am really grasping at straws for ideas for Avery Elle's challenge.  I thought of something else, but I am not sure I like it.

What do you think?  My daughter says that it is "butt ugly."  It is....different.  You try making a card with only one stamp!  I have enjoyed this challenge, it was a good exercise for my brain!

Ok, so I cannot stop making cards for Avery Elle's challenge.  Here is one more...

Super simple and elegant.  Love the quick use of washi tape!

I wanted to use up the background paper that I created with the digital stamp, so here is another card for the Avery Elle challenge!

I cut the remaining background paper into strips and adhered them to a black card base.  I printed 2 copies of the digital sentiment and cut out the center of one.  I adhered this frame to the solid sentiment creating a popped-up frame.

Again, I added a few sparkly rhinestones as a finishing touch.

Here is another card I created for the Avery Elle Challenge...

For this card I added dots with a Copic marker to the background paper that I created with the digital stamp.  I also used Copic markers to color in the sentiment.

I love Avery Elle stamps. I just discovered this company so I do not yet own any of their sets. I want to participate in the Avery Elle challenge for a chance to be a guest designer!

The AEI♥U challenge for the month is to create a project that sums up your personal paper crafting style. The requirement for the challenge is to use Avery Elle stamps or use this free digital stamp

This certainly was a challenge to create something with just one stamp!

I love washi tape!  It is so quick and easy to add color and detail to any project.  I created the background paper with the digital stamp. Hand cut the image and mounted it on black paper and cut it again. I added a few sparkly black rhinestones as a finishing touch.

I know I have not posted anything in a long time.  I have no excuse except to say that I have been busy.  Anyway, I will share a few cards (of course I copied the layout)....

I just can't stop making cards for this week's Make It Monday challenge!

For these three cards I used all of the elements from a single cut from The Sweet Life and two cuts from Fabulous Frames.

Happily Hunkered Down

Posted by Unknown at 2:03 PM 2 comments
Our schools are closed today and tomorrow due to Sandy.  That means I have off from work!  I am busy playing in my craft room until the electricity goes out!

I just love how this card turned out.  Of course I stamp-lifted the idea (can't find the link right now, but it is probably from PTI).  All stamps from PTI.

For the above cards I used stamps from PTI and Stampin' Up.

I used a stamp set from Close to My Heart for the 2 cards above.

Fast and easy card created with PTI stamps and Spellbinder die.

Thanks for visiting today!  I will be making more cards until the power goes out.

Make it Monday PTI Challenge

I received my new stamps today!  Just in time to create my take on Papertrey's Make it Monday challenge.  The challenge this week is positive and negative die cuts.

I just love the new Peaceful Pinecones set.   I am disappointed in my photography skills; the cards look much better in person.

Awesome

I had a few minutes to play with more of my new Papertrey stamps.  These stamps make it so easy to whip up a card in just a few minutes.  The part that takes me the most time is deciding what to make!

My daughter came home from her missions trip to Thailand and I made her thank you cards to send out to her supporters.

I want to thank JJ Bolton for inspiring me.

Camp Card Set Challenge

Posted by Unknown at 9:07 PM 2 comments

This is my last post for today.  What a day!  I feel like I have ran a marathon!  I used the same paper pack that was used for the paper beads.  I love how these turned out.

Tie-dye challenge

This is my attempt at the tye-dye challenge.  I didn't have a sponge with me, so I ended up using a baby wipe.  This actually worked out pretty well because it gave the soft watercolor effect.

I love the new paper bead die from Papertrey Ink!  You can cut multiple sheets at a time to speed up the process!  So much fun.  I am not crazy about my design here, but I didn't have the proper supplies with me.  I am at my sister's house and I couln't bring everything with me!

Limited Supply Challenge

Posted by Unknown at 2:39 PM 0 comments

All supplies Papertrey Ink.  I borrowed a technique that I learned from Papertrey - embossing stamped cardstock.  It is hard to see in the photo, but the blue paper was stamped with versmark ink and then embossed with the polka dot impression plate.

Papertrey Stamp Camp!

I am spending the day with my sister, Brenda, to participate in Papertrey's Stamp Camp!  This is our version of the ribbon technique.

My morning make - n -take card.  Sorry for the poor quality of the photo....I am learning this blogging stuff!  I just love this stamp set!  My sister is placing an order as we speak so that she can also get this set!!!!
